Birthday Card: Brainiac Brian

A personal touch is always appreciated!

Brian is who we call our "smart" friend who graduated from MIT,
and all of us agree that him being a brainiac is a curse.
The man always has too much going on in his head,
and therefore constantly has headaches.
He says his doctor can't figure out what's wrong with him,
but I think we all have the right diagnosis... he is too smart for his own good.

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

drew brian's head, well, top of his head.
can you feel the intensity?

here's to hoping you give your brain a break on your birthday!
letting some steam off his head, so to speak.

brian's eyeballs, well, just the iris to be exact,
were made with felt.

YOO original is brian

Thank You!: White-Tooth-Mofo (an Inside Joke)

A personal touch is always appreciated!

I am lucky enough to have close friends who are dentists,
who take very good care of my dental hygiene,
all at a bargain price... meaning, at no charge.
I recently had crown work done by one of them, Tony, or Dr. Tony, I should say.
He was the one who worked on a filling for the same tooth when he was a student,
and 13 years later, it only made sense for him to finish the job.
I did not want his efforts to go unnoticed,
so I made this fun card to thank him
and to let him know I don't take his work for granted.

thanks.
a small rectangular diecut on the cover of the card to show the words
on the inside of the card.

i call this my mullet card.
it's kind of nice & proper in the front, and goofy & silly on the inside.
yes, that is me that i drew.

si'm wearing tooth-shaped earrings.

close-up of the eye shadow and lipstick.
yes, my big mouth shows that many teeth when i smile big.

Birthday Card: Have a Drillin' Day!

A personal touch is always appreciated!

For some strange reason, I have a lot of dentist friends,
and this one was made for the newest dentist in the bunch, Jason.
This fabric reminded me of the color of a mask,
so I started from there and built it into a card.

Birthday Card: Lil' Birdie Told Me ...

A personal touch is always appreciated!

One of the cutest card creations can also be the easiest,
with just a couple of the crazy eyes and leftover ribbons.
Not sure if 'crazy eyes' is what they are actually called,
but that's what I like to call them since the eyeballs tend to roll around everywhere.
On this card, I decided to go with a little birdie wearing a giant red bow.

My colorful cardstock and envelope came in handy again!
50 cards and 50 envelopes for $9.99 at target!
That's 20 cents per set!

Thinking of You: Get Well Soon!

A personal touch is always appreciated!

So when I heard my best friend's whole family got sick,
I had to send them a little something to put a smile on their faces!

I hear you've been feeling under the weather...
