Baby's Firsts: Happy 1st Birthday Brooklynn!

Hard to believe yet another baby, Brooklynn, has turned 1. 

And even harder to believe that it's Langhi & Hoang's second child who turned 1. 

I feel like Anderson turned 1 not too long ago. It's madness!

i went with the cheetah print since i figure 

brooklynn probably has the memphis ghetto fabulousness from her mama.

the "y" in her name supporting a cupcake with 1 candle. 

the cupcake didn't quite turn out the way i had envisioned... 

i probably should have gone with more contrasting color scheme. 

added the beads for the bling effect as i did for her mom's card. haha.

Thank You!: Girls are the Best

A personal touch is always appreciated! 

I was asked to make thank you cards for a friend of a friend, 

who saw one of my posts in the birthdays album (it was for Madeline) 

on facebook and wanted one of the works replicated. 

I made 30 thank you cards for the guests 

who came to little Estella's 1st birthday party. 

I must say, I had a ton of fun making them. 

I feel like there's more ways to get creative 

when I work on little girls' projects than boys.

I found these cute flower patterned scrapbook papers, 

could not decide on which color to go with, so decided on all of them. 

All five colors go well with the adorable little girl Estella in hanbok, 

so it all worked out!

don't the scrapbook papers work really well with the hanbok colors?

giving the 3-d look always adds something extra to the card. 

several layers of contrasting color & patterns of paper stock 
also adds something extra to the card. 

inside the card was laid with the floral patterns 

that were used for the trims in the hanbok

Mother's Day: Since When Do I Have So Many Mom Friends?

I couldn't believe the amount of cards I made this year for mother's day.
My friends are having babies left and right,
some have more than one, some are currently pregnant.
I told myself, I might have to quit making these cards by next year! Ha!

to show the beautiful faces of all the kids.

Birthday Card: Bling Bling

We refer to our friend Langhi as a princess at times, a ghetto princess that is, 

cuz she seems so prim at proper at times like a southern bell, 

and then at times, she will remind you where she's from, if you get my drift.

she loves the finer things in life, 

but you will also find her with some odd items that we tease her for, 

like her bling cellphone case for instance.

After years of fighting, my friend Donny's mom lost her battle with cancer. 

I knew he and his family would be okay, however, 

when his wife Justine told me that they know she went to a better place, 

where there is no more suffering. 

I wanted them to know that my prayers are with them.
